More Movie Research: Resident Evil Afterlife

I watched two horror\thriller sci-fi movies so far, for research. They are pretty similar. Not all of it is sci-fi, only the monsters. In this movie, the zombies are the science fiction, the giant underground lab, and the super powers of the main character: to have super speed, strength, regeneration, and make copies of herself.
The common camera angles and movements where:

  • Close-Ups
At the beginning, The main character records herself, and talks about how everything has been so far. We see it through the camera and see only her face.
  • Pan
There are lots of pans. At the beginning when she runs after her friend, the fight with the giant axe zombie, and when they fight the boss of the umbrella company.
  • Tilt
When she flies her plane there are some small tilts when she turns or dives.
  • Tracking Shots

When the plane crash lands and they get off, tracking shot of them walking and in the basements. There are a few.

  • Long Shot
Lots of long shots, when they enter the ship and free all of the people.

Costumes-Worn down clothing that has tears on them, or minimal clothing. The members off the umbrella company have suits and some have military uniform.
Lighting- Bright in the beginning, but once we see destroyed city's it gets darker. In the prison it gets way darker and creates a tense and lonely mood.
Actors-Perform some stunts when killing the zombies, especially big one, and also the boss.
Makeup-Not much, they have dirty faces with cuts.
Props- The best one is the coin gun the main character carries on her back, but others are weapons.
Settings-Alaska, The prison, Arcadia (the boat), and Tokyo ( original base of umbrella)
Non-Digetic sounds are used for zombies and rest is digetic.
Editing, lots of cuts, and cutaways are used to switch between characters and fight scenes.
I liked the zombie part of the movie and how the whole ship was a trap. Also the end scene.
I didn't like that everyone died except for the brothers an that the guy came back, it was kind of predictable.
